April 21, 2017 - This is a notification of Hwy 9 lane closures on Tuesday April 25th from 7am until 4pm. Our Water Department has a preventative maintenance program for the Town’s waterlines and they must do annual valve exercising next week. The Town's Water Department will start exercising the water valves, in Hwy 9 at Ruby Ranch Road and end at Hwy 70, then they will work back on the North side of Hwy 9 towards Ruby Ranch Road. They will work from Ruby Ranch Road proceeding south, primarily but not completely on the West side of Hwy 9; there is minimal work on the North side of the Hwy. The water valves are in the Hwy so they will be closing the lanes that they are working in for a short periods of time. This can be thought of as a series of rolling lane closures along Hwy 9 throughout Tuesday.
April 14, 2017 - Construction has begun in the acceleration/deceleration lanes near the entrance to Summit Sky Ranch. Flaggers will be out implementing the traffic management plans. As construction moves toward Town, updates will be provided.
April 7, 2017 - The Colorado Department of Transportation will be conducting a much needed project - resurfacing Highways 9 and 6 – starting mid-April through October 2017. Silverthorne Public Information Officer, Susan Schulman, and Town Engineer, Susan Pearson, are working directly with CDOT’s PIO to keep the public informed about road closures and detours throughout the project. AZT Construction Services has leased the old Acorn site in Silverthorne to use as a materials testing office for the project. The public will start to see construction trailers and equipment as early as today as the project gets under way. Frequent project updates will be found in this Town Manager’s update, the Town website, e-newsletter, blog and social media; as well as through fliers posted around Town and CDOT’s VMS signage.
