Cycle Silverthorne Month

Cycle Silverthorne month is off to a stellar start. We had about 100 kids and parents ride their bikes to Silverthorne Elementary school on June 1st and a very successful bike rodeo event. Thank you to Theresa Barger, Misty Higby, Liz Hodson, Susan Lee, Susan Schulman, Paul Kulik and Council Members, Tanya Shattuck and JoAnn Nadalin. Also SPORT volunteers, Don and Jeanette Hansen and Suzanne Reed.  The weather cooperated and the kids had a blast running through the 3 different courses, but were definitely tired out at the end.

Recreation Center instructor, Lisa Watkins, a Spanish speaker, hosted the En Accion Spanish led biking class with a full group of 17 enthusiastic and energetic cyclists. Two more Spanish led cycling classes will be held June 22nd and June 29th at 6:30pm.

Employee biking challenge! Try to ride your bike every day in June and you might win a Lemond spin bike! Self report your rides and submit to Renee Rogers. The first drawing is June 8th. The more you ride, the more entries you receive.

Cycle Silverthorne Month calendars and Bike to Business Bingo cards are available at the Recreation Center, Town Hall and the Colorado Welcome Center at the Outlets.
