Public Works
What does Public Works do?
Public Works at the Town of Silverthorne includes Streets, Engineering,
Water, Sewer, Fleet, Parks and Buildings. Public Works is responsible for
design, construction, operation, and maintenance of all Town facilities and
infrastructure.
Why do you always pile snow in my driveway?
Our priority is to clear streets and sidewalks as soon as possible after
significant snowfalls. This often means piles of snow across driveways because
driveways cross the public right-of-way and, therefore, are designated for
snow storage. If the Town were to try to clear all driveways after plowing the
streets and walks, we would need additional equipment, manpower and time.
Why don’t you plow my road?
Most of our streets are public, however, there are a few private roads in
Town, such as Jane’s Way, Meraly Way, Glen Place, Fashion Lane, River Road,
Stellar Drive, Creek Lane, Robin Drive, Mountain Vista Lane, Range View
Circle, Rocky Run Lane, and South Vista Circle. These roads were not designed
or built to Town standards and the Town does not maintain them.

and $5 for busses. Normal hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
