Indoor Soccer (K-2nd and 3rd-5th)
Soccer skills, drills &
scrimmages in a non-competitive environment – great for confidence building!
Rug Racquets Tennis (ages 4-6 years)
Fun and games promote hand-eye coordination, footwork, principles of tennis,
and correct tennis technique.
Beginner Tennis (ages 7-9 years)
Drills
and games assist players with learning proper techniques for forehand,
backhand, serve and volley.
Advanced Beginner Tennis
(ages 10-12 years)
Players review basic strokes and learn scoring, tennis etiquette, and
specialty shots, while playing competitive and non-competitive games.
Intermediate Tennis (ages 12 years & up)
Players with proficiency in basic tennis strokes learn advanced shots,
strategies and consistency, while playing competitive and non-competitive
games.
Gr8 to Sk8 Skateboard Lessons (ages 5-7 years)
Skaters are taught skate park etiquette and learn how to gain confidence,
balance and basic skateboarding techniques. Helmets are required, and are
available upon request for free rental. Full pads are highly recommended,
including elbow pads, wrist pads, and kneepads.
Tricks and Tweaks Skateboard Lessons (ages 8-11
years)
Learn
skate park etiquette and gain confidence, balance, and basic skateboarding
techniques during skateboard lessons at the Silverthorne Skate Park. Class
instruction will vary, depending on individuals’ abilities. Helmets are
required, and are available upon request for free rental. Full pads are
highly recommended, including elbow pads, wrist pads, and kneepads.
Sk8 Over 8 Thousand Feet Skateboard Competition
(all ages)
All ages and abilities are welcome to compete
in our Annual Sk8 Over 8 Thousand Feet Skateboard Competition, part of the Mtn.
Madness Skateboard Series. Prizes will be awarded to top finalists in
Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Girls, and Sponsored categories. Skaters
will be judged in style, amplitude, difficulty, and overall. Helmets
required, no exceptions. Full pads are highly recommended. All skaters under
18 years must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, prior to skating.
Roller Hockey
Breckenridge Ice Rink
instructors visit Silverthorne to teach roller hockey techniques through
skills drills and scrimmages. First hour of class will be instruction, and
the second hour of class will be scrimmages. Participants must provide
in-line skates, hockey stick, safety pads and helmet. Helmets are available
upon request for no charge.
Basketball Camp (Boys and Girls incoming grades
3-12)
This 4 day camp will
help athletes develop the proper fundamental basketball skills necessary to
improve their game. Emphasis will be on learning the proper techniques that
enable players to apply skills to both offense and defense. Staff will
emphasize the mental aspect of basketball and will have athletes working hard,
while having fun! Program is offered by Brian DeHerrera, 1999-2000 4A Denver
Post Coach of the Year
Tae Kwon Do (all ages)
Students learn the basic techniques of self-defense
while improving balance, strength, coordination and flexibility. Program is
offered by Sahn Tae Kwon Do.
