December First Friday - Holiday Tree Lighting and Festivities

Celebrate the holiday season with the Town of Silverthorne!

Join the Town of Silverthorne for the December First Friday event on Friday, December 6, 2019. Gather at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center for the second annual tree lighting and enjoy holiday carolers, photos with Santa, hot chocolate and "story time on the go" at Red Buffalo Coffee. Afterward, stop by Angry James Brewery for a FREE talk with Joel Gratz of Open Snow and a Bad Santa party. 

  • 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. - Holiday carolers, crafts, family fun, hot chocolate and treats at the Silverthorne Pavilion
  • 5:30 p.m. - Tree lighting ceremony begins at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, first 300 people receive a First Friday ornament. The Tree Lighting ceremony will feature Mayor Sandquist and Joel Gratz of Open Snow.
  • 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Photos with Santa at the Silverthorne Pavilion
  • 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. - Rocky Mountain Brass Band at the Silverthorne Pavilion 
  • 6 to 6:45 p.m. - A free talk with Joel Gratz of Open Snow at Angry James Brewery
  • 6 to 7 p.m. - Story Time on the Go, crafts and treats at Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea
  • 7 p.m. - Bad Santa Party at Angry James Brewery with a Bad Santa costume contest and Ugly Sweater contest for a chance to win tickets to Yonder Mountain String Band! Live music by the Chris Bauer Trio.
