Robert Randolph

Robert Randolph is a rock-blues pedal steel guitar virtuoso whose music blurs the lines between gospel, rock, blues, and soul. Raised in the House of God Church in New Jersey, he first made his mark channeling the ecstatic energy of worship through his instrument, known in his tradition as “Sacred Steel.” Now, with his new album Preacher Kids on Sun Records, Randolph steps into a bold new chapter. Produced by Shooter Jennings, the album features fellow musicians who, like Randolph, are preachers’ kids, bridging the church and the secular stage. Recorded in LA and Nashville, the project began as a jam session that evolved into full-formed songs, retaining the spirit and spontaneity of their origins.  Known for his GRAMMY-nominated work with The Family Band and collaborations with legends like Eric Clapton, Santana, Norah Jones, and Beyonce (on the GRAMMY-winning Cowboy Carter), Randolph has also earned 13 Emmys for his work in sports broadcasting and created the theme for Amazon Prime’s Thursday Night Football. With Preacher Kids, he returns to his roots while pushing the boundaries of where gospel-inspired music can go next.

Art Float from the Towns of Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco and Silverthorne

On display at July First Friday in Silverthorne

Get ready to groove with the Monster Circus Band—a vibrant, joy-filled float that has been designed as a mobile stage. This art float invites everyone that passes by to sing along to classic cover songs and dance with a lively crew of furry, fireworks-themed monsters. It’s a celebration of freedom, friendship, and the shared warmth of community that makes the 4th of July so joyful.

This whimsical float is brought to life through a collaboration between the Town of Frisco, Town of Dillon, Town of Silverthorne, and Breck Create. The float has been created by Bree Angela, a Textile Artist and Designer based in the Denver area. Her colorful costumes, creatures and soft biophilic designs create sensory-rich art that encourages exploration and learning, while also connecting children with nature and to the magic of the world around them.

Bree holds a BFA from Pratt Institute in Visual Communications Design, along with certifications in Interior Design, ABA Play Therapy, and the Reggio-Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education. Her career spans across the fashion and commercial art industries, as well as her work as an Art Educator in inner-city communities. Her unique approach to design integrates her many years of experience working with children and her commitment to making spaces for children beautiful, innovative, and more inclusive; where children of all abilities can thrive and express themselves freely.
