Highway 9 Resurfacing Project

September 14, 2017Painting/striping operations are scheduled to begin the week of September 18. For the month of September, motorists can expect alternating right and left lane closures in both directions on CO 9 and US 6 for the remaining work items. The project team will be implementing rolling lane closures on both highways as the various items are finalized. 

Also,the Traffic Signal Face Replacement Project could cause delays September 17 - 23 from 6:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. in Silverthorne and Dillon.  Thanks for your patience!

August 25, 2017  - UPCOMING PAVING OPERATIONS AT I-70 EXCHANGE - Right lane of SB CO 9, between 3rd Street and Ruby Ranch Rd occurs dawn to 7 PM.  Mon. -Thurs, and from dawn to noon on Friday.  The right lanes of both Northbound and southbound directions at I-70 interchange between Dillon & Silverthorne.  These operations will take place at 3rd St. on CO 9 and extend South to W,. Anemone Trail on US 6.  Crews will be working nights , from 7 PM to 7 AM, from Monday night through Friday morning.  These operations will begin 8/29 and are scheduled conclude 9/7.  Crews will be off site from Sept 1-4 for Labor Day weekend. Single land closures will be in place throughout the construction zones during working hours.  All highways (including the on and off ramps) will remain open, although detours may be in place.  Please pay close attention to signage an flaggers directions when traveling through the construction zone.

 July 17, 2017 - CDOT Asphalt Milling operation along Hwy 6 will stop for the next 6 weeks.  

CDOT projects with minimal impact will continue including raising manhole covers, concrete curbs and gutters, striping, signage.

July 12,2017 - Night paving at the I-70 interchange in Dillon and Silverthorne will begin Wednesday, July 12th at 7 pm, and continue until Thursday morning at 7:00 am.   Paving crews will return to the site on Thursday. July 13th, at 7 pm and resume operations until Friday morning at 7 am.   Crews will be paving the left lanes of the area, located between 3rd Street on CO HWY 9 in Silverthorne and extending to West Anemone Trail on US HWY 6 Dillon.  Concrete sidewalk work will maintain its normal schedule during daylight hours .  Crews will be off the site by Friday, July 14th. at noon. All highways will remain open, although detours may be in place.  Please pay close attention to signage and flaggers directions when traveling through the construction zone.

July 10, 2017 - Be advised of a planned intersection closure on EB US-6 and Dillon Dam Road in Dillon.  Closure is scheduled for Monday, July 10 from 7 am to 7 pm.  Motorists will be unable to travel north on Dillon Dam Rd from EB US-6 during these times.  Also, a 12 ft width restriction is in place for the duration of the project.  

July 7, 2017 -Paving next week moves to the south end of town.  APC is scheduled to pave Wednesday night NB from Little Beaver to 3rd Street and Thursday night SB from 3rd Street to Little Beaver between 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. They will be doing concrete curb ramps, curb and gutter at I-70/SH 6 median during the day the week of July 10.  All work is weather and material dependent.

 APC will be coming back through the Town Core area to finish the second lane of southbound Highway 9 in the coming weeks.
