Arts Center Mural

Post Date:10/11/2017 9:56 AM
On October 5, 2017, artist Mike Graves from Denver was at the Performing Arts Center, painting a bright and whimsical art piece for our community.  This project was recommended by the Town’s Art Board and Art Selection Committee, who oversee the implementation of the Town’s Arts and Culture Strategic Plan.  The plan calls for art that is colorful, progressive and welcoming.  Mike’s work is just that.  Public art provides an opportunity for people to come together despite their differences to talk, ask questions (such as, “why a big cow?!”) and cross paths with those who they have never met before.  The Summit Daily News posted an on-line video showcasing the project that can been viewed by clicking here.
