Thursday, Jan. 15: Silverthorne Police Department Announces Charges in Fatal Pedestrian and Vehicle Collision
The Town of Silverthorne Police Department has released the charges and name of the driver involved in the pedestrian and vehicle collision on Saturday, Jan. 10. Max Gordon Miller, date of birth April 5, 1979, has been charged with careless driving resulting in death. The Silverthorne Police Department is working with the District Attorney’s Office of the 5th Judicial District in this case.

The Town of Silverthorne is deeply saddened to share that a pedestrian and vehicle collision occurred yesterday, which resulted in a pedestrian fatality. Silverthorne shares our sincere condolences and sympathy to the pedestrian’s family and friends in this tragic collision. Thank you to the emergency responders from the Silverthorne Police Department and Summit Fire and EMS who responded to this incident and provided lifesaving efforts on the scene.
The Silverthorne Police Department is actively investigating this incident that took place at 6th Street and Blue River Parkway at 1:19 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026. The town is working with additional agencies on this investigation and will share additional information as it becomes available.
