SILVERTHORNE, Colo. (Jan. 15, 2026) – The Town of Silverthorne is pleased to announce that Greg Camp has been selected as the new Town Manager. Greg is an experienced municipal leader with more than two decades of public service in Missouri and will begin his time in Silverthorne on March 9, 2026.

“I’m honored to be joining a community like Silverthorne—one that blends creativity, momentum, and a strong sense of place,” said Camp. “My wife, Kristie, and I have long dreamed of living in the Colorado mountains, and we’re excited to bring that dream to life in a town that shares our values.” Camp noted his enthusiasm for listening and learning from residents, town staff, and elected leaders: “My first priority will be building strong relationships—earning trust, understanding priorities, and working together to support Silverthorne’s future.”

Town staff and Council greatly appreciate the large number of community members who attended the Town Manager Candidate meet-and-greet earlier this month and submitted comments about the Town’s future leadership.

“Town Council has listened to our residents and staff and has worked diligently with our recruiting consultant to find a Town Manager that can continue Silverthorne’s success and foundation as a modern mountain community that is the heart of Summit County,” said Mayor Ann-Marie Sandquist. “We are thrilled to have Greg bring his experience and public service dedication to Silverthorne and know that he will further enhance the work of our staff and meet the long-term goals of our community members.”

Gregory Camp currently serves as City Administrator for the City of Festus, MO. In this role, he oversees more than 110 employees and manages budgets exceeding $38 million. Greg has been recognized with the 2025 Jay T. Bell Award for professionalism and ethical conduct by the Missouri City/County Management Association (MCMA), where he also served as a past president. Prior to Festus, he spent ten years as City Administrator for Desloge, MO, where he improved the city’s financial standing and strengthened operational performance. Greg’s public service career also includes time as Mayor and Alderman for Desloge, giving him extensive insight into governance, budgeting, and community leadership. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration (Magna Cum Laude) from Upper Iowa University and is a Credentialed Manager through the International City/County Management Association.
