Vision, Mission and Goals

The Silverthorne Comprehensive Plan includes an Economic Development Element outlining the definition, vision, mission, and goals and policies for economic development in Silverthorne.

The Town of Silverthorne defines Economic Development as the attraction, creation, and improvement of the local business environment including:

  • Encouragement of existing business to improve and upgrade,
  • Recruitment and establishment of new businesses
  • Quality development of both business and residential sectors of the community.

Streamlined Development Review Process – We understand time is money:
Silverthorne’s recently streamlined development review process enables projects to move swiftly from concept to construction. A two-step review process keeps quality in mind but also respects the reality that time is money in the development world.

Development Incentives:
The Town of Silverthorne’s ability to provide quality municipal services and infrastructure to the Silverthorne community is directly related to the economic success of the local business community. The Town is dedicated to fostering the long term success of the local economy. Economic Development Incentives are one method which the Town may use to assist in maintaining a diverse, stable and sustainable economy. A variety of incentives may be utilized, most notably; Silverthorne’s ESTIP program is available for businesses bringing significant new sales tax revenues to the Town.
