Adult Drop-In Pickleball
Outdoor
Summer: Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to noon and Wednesdays from 5:30 p.m. to dusk at Rainbow Park
Beginner player time: Monday 5:30 p.m. to dusk at Rainbow Park
Pickleball is played at Rainbow Park and Trent Park on shared courts for tennis and pickleball. During times that are not set aside for drop-in pickleball, or programming, courts may be used by either tennis players or pickleball players.
When not reserved, courts are available to be either reserved or used on a first come, first served basis. Please share the courts when possible and be courteous of other users. Access our court reservation system here to find out when courts are reserved, or to reserve one for yourself.
Indoor
Starting September 28 to November 1:
- Sundays from 8 to 11 a.m. (all levels)
- Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (all levels)
Starting November 2:
- Sundays from 8 to 11 a.m. (all levels)
- Mondays and Tuesdays from 7 to 10 a.m. (upper level/competitive play)
- Mondays and Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (lower level/recreational play)
Games are free with daily admission or Silverthorne Recreation Center Pass. View the Gym Schedule for a complete list of drop-in pickleball times.
- Games are 2v2 and play to 11, win by 1. Exceptions may apply, refer to the posted rules in the gymnasium.
- Both sides of the gymnasium may be used on designated drop in days only.
- Please wear clean, non-marking gym shoes while playing in the gymnasium.
- All games must fall within the designated drop-in times.
- Gymnasium use for pickleball may be available outside of drop in times, only when both sides of the gymnasium are open and gymnastics is not setup. Please check with the front desk before setting up outside the designated drop-in times.
Adult Drop-In Basketball
Outdoor
Summer: All adults on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. to dusk at Rainbow Park.
Outdoor basketball courts at Rainbow Park are shared with pickleball. Check the schedule and drop in during designated times or enjoy the courts when they are open.
When courts are not reserved for programming or drop in, they are available to be either reserved or used on a first come, first served basis. Indoor
Drop-in basketball is on Mondays (full court available) and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m. until November 1. Starting November 2, drop-in basketball is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 9 p.m.

- Players may sign up on the dry-erase board in the gym for play.
- Play is 4 on 4, short court games, to 11 straight points.
- When 12 or more players are waiting, games will play to 9 points. After two wins, the winning team forfeits the court and two new teams will take the court. Winning team may re-sign up on the board.
- When both sides of the gym are available, both sides of the gymnasium may be used for full court games or two short court games.
- Please wear clean, non-marking gym shoes while playing in the gymnasium.
- All games must fall within the designated drop-in times.
Volleyball
Indoor Drop-In
Sundays from 6 to 9 p.m. now through November 1.
Unsure what level?
- Competitive/Power players should understand a 6-2 and 5-1 offense, be able to serve a ball consistently over the net, able to disrupt the opponent’s defense with their serve and able to consistently pass an aggressively served ball forward in the direction of the setter.
- Recreational/Intermediate players are more comfortable with a center set offense or without a setter position, can be inconsistent in passing, serving, setting and/or hitting and often sends the ball to the opponent’s side after one or two touches.

- Play is 6v6 co-ed with mixed levels of play. Rally scoring is used to 21, win by 2. Silverthorne Recreation Center League Rules are used.
- When available, both sides of the gymnasium may be requested if there are 20 or more people.
- When there are more than 12 players waiting, the following applies: Winner stays on the court for up to two wins, after which winners will sit for one game and mix in with the other teams.
- Please wear clean, non-marking gym shoes while playing in the gymnasium.
- All games must fall within the designated drop-in times.
Indoor Volleyball Leagues
Fall and winter indoor volleyball leagues are offered at the Silverthorne Recreation Center.
Adult Drop-In Tennis
Outdoor: Final drop-in play will be Tuesday, Sept. 30. Adult Drop-In Tennis will return next summer on Tuesdays, July 8 to Sept. 30 from 6-7:30 p.m.

4v4 Volleyball league: Thursdays from 6 p.m. to dusk
Competitive 2v2 drop-in: Tuesday and Friday evenings
Youth volleyball programs: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday
