The Silverthorne Recreation Center expansion project has begun construction.
Construction Impacts
-
Indoor Track: The construction wall will impact the indoor track, which will be closed to regular track use during this phase of construction. Part of the track will be available for access to cardio and circuit equipment, and for patrons to use while stretching, etc.
-
Kid's Korner Has a New Location: On Friday, Nov. 7, Kid’s Korner will be temporarily relocated to a newly designated space within the Silverthorne Recreation Center lobby area. Please note that this is not a general lobby play area, but a dedicated space, specifically built for Kid’s Korner programming while the recreation center expansion project continues.
All other areas of the Recreation Center, including the aquatics area, will not be impacted by construction at this time.
Parking
Community members visiting Rainbow Park will need to access the park via Rainbow Drive, the front parking lot of the Silverthorne Recreation Center, or the Rainbow Park parking lot off Rainbow Drive. Parking behind the Recreation Center for direct access to the Rainbow Park tot lot and volleyball courts will be closed during construction.
Construction Timing
The expansion project at the Silverthorne Recreation Center will take place from Spring 2025 to Fall 2026. Construction impacts on the facility will vary throughout the project's different phases.
