Established in 2016, the Town of Silverthorne Arts Board brings together creatives, historians, arts administrators, not-for-profit managers, business owners, citizens-at-large, advocates for the role of the arts in the local economy, advocates for a vibrant town core, representatives of the diversity of the community and the diverse cultures that make up the Town, and more. This volunteer committee provides leadership, momentum, and coordination in implementing the Town’s Arts and Culture Strategic Plan and reviews matters related to arts and culture in the Silverthorne regional community.
The Art Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month from 11:45 a.m.–1:30 p.m. at Silverthorne Town Hall. Meetings are open to the public. Citizen representative positions are opened periodically, and all are welcome to apply. Once appointed, citizen terms are for three years each.

The Art Board also supports two ad-hoc committees that assist with focused initiatives. Those groups are the Art Selection Committee, which makes recommendations about permanent and temporary public art installations in Silverthorne, and the First Friday Committee, which assists with the planning of monthly community events that celebrate Silverthorne’s burgeoning artists community and which are held the first Friday of each month.
