Bilingual Pay

The Town of Silverthorne strives to recruit, hire and retain employees with multilingual skills. The Town encourages and empowers multilingual employees to communicate with other employees, residents, and visitors in the language(s) they are most comfortable using. Currently, Spanish language skills are identified for participation in the bilingual pay program. Employees will receive additional compensation ranging from $0.40/hour to $1.20/hour based on their tested language proficiency level and the usage frequency of their position.
