Benefit Package 

Benefit Detail
401 (a) Retirement Account This retirement plan takes the place of Social Security. Employee is vested day one. Employee pays 7.5%; employer pays 10.5%; total, 18%. Fund allocations may be changed at any time.
Personal Time We have combined vacation and sick days into personal time. 3/4-time employees receive 16 days per year, accrued at a rate of 4.923 hours per pay period.
Holidays 9.25 holidays per year, including 3.25 floating holidays.
Flexible Benefit Plan A cafeteria-style plan providing a variety of benefits to meet your individual needs (see additional information below).
ROTH IRA & 457 Deferred Compensation Pre- and post-tax retirement savings plans are available through payroll deductions.
Recreation Center & Art Spot Passes Free employee passes to the Recreation Center and Art Spot; Dependent passes are available at discounted rates.
Car Wash Employees have access to the Public Works maintenance facility to wash their cars. 
Wellness Program The wellness program includes an annual health screening and health fair, activity-based incentivies, wellness lunch and learns and challenges.
Employee Assistance Program Provides counseling services for employees and their families via the Internet, phone or in person.

The Town of Silverthorne’s flexible-benefit-plan represents a significant contribution toward the total compensation package.

Benefit Detail
Health Insurance Medical, prescription drug and hospital coverage. Employees pay 20% of their health insurance premiums.
Group Life Insurance/ Accidental Death & Dismemberment Ins. Group Life Insurance of two times the amount of annual salary and Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage. Additional life insurance is optional.
Voluntary Life Insurance Additional life insurance coverage is available if desired
Paid Family & Medical Leave The Town provides up to 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave for employees for FMLA covered reasons, paid at 80% of normal pay.
Disability Coverage Long-term disability provides 60% income replacement during long-term non-work-related illness or injury. 
Dental Insurance Coverage to help with dental and orthodontic needs.
Vision Insurance Coverage for eye-related needs.
Section 125 Café Plan Provides pre-tax reimbursements for health care and dependent care expenses.
Lifestyle Spending Account This lifestyle spending account can be used for reimbursements of pet insurance and fitness-related items, e.g., ski pass, bicycle, or tennis shoes.
457 Deferred Compensation A pre-tax avenue to save money for retirement, accessible without penalty upon separation; may be rolled into a 401 or IRA plan.
Rental Assistance Programs

The Rental Deposit Assistance Program provides an interest-free loan to either full-time or 3/4-time employees to be used for a rental deposit.
