In May of 2014, The Silverthorne Planning Commission and Town Council approved Resolutions to adopt the amended Comprehensive Plan.
Comprehensive Plan Implementation
In 2015, the Town began implementation of the Comprehensive Plan policies by adopting revised Design District Standards and Guidelines for the Town's six commercial districts. In 2016, the Town created the new Town Core Zone District, and rezoned many of the properties between 2nd and 6th Streets, west of HWY 9 into Town Core zoning. Exciting Developments in Silverthorne's Town Core
Beginning in 2016, there have been exciting developments in Silverthorne's Town Core. Angry James Brewery, at 421 Adams Avenue, opened its doors in 2017 and is now a popular hang-out for Silverthorne locals. In addition, high residential development entitled River's Edge Condos was completed at 421 Rainbow Drive. In partnership with the Lake Dillon Theater Company, the Town also constructed the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center, creating distinct synergy with the Pavilion. Lastly, the construction of an entire Town block as a mixed use, walkable district by the name of Fourth Street Crossing is on the way.
The Town is seeking a consultant team to update the Town's Comprehensive Plan and the Parks, Open Space, and Trails Master Plan. Follow the link to that RFP here. Responses are due back March 31, 2020. UPDATE: DUE TO CONCERNS OVER COVID19, THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN CANCELLED.
In addition, the Town is seeking developers for another piece of Silverthorne's Town Core, the currently vacant portion of the Green Village of the Outlets.
