Town Completes Sign Code Update

The Town began to gather public input on the update of the Sign Code in the Spring of 2016.  The update of the Sign Code was kicked off by Town Council in March of 2016 by convening a subcommittee of Council and EDAC members to study the issues.  The Subcommittee met on 5 occasions to discuss the following topics:
  • Prohibited Signs

  • Sign Variances and Sign District Boundaries

  • The Town Core Sign District

  • Electronic Message Centers

  • Temporary Signs post Reed v. Town of Gilbert
The Town also held two Community Open Houses in the Fall of 2016, to gather input from the community on the Sign Code update.  
On March 8, 2017, exactly one year following the kick-off of this project, Town Council approved the revised Sign Code.  Please contact Greg Roy, Planner I, with any questions regarding signage, 970-262-7368 or
