Sign permitting requirements for temporary signs needed in response to COVID-19 are currently being waived. Sign permits are not required from now until August 31, 2020 for temporary banners attached on all four corners to buildings and for sandwich board signs placed on private property in the commercial areas of Town. All other signs still need a sign permit. Prohibited signs, described in detail in Section 4-9-5 of the Town Code, are not permitted. Examples of prohibited signs include flashing signs, moving signs, wind-driven signs, festoons, or off-premise signs.
