The Silverthorne Recreation Center has reopened in conjunction with the latest public health orders from the state of Colorado and Summit County. The Silverthorne Recreation Center is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a midday closure from 1 to 3 p.m. The midday closure is used to clean and disinfect the facility, replenish supplies and changeover staff. At this time the Silverthorne Recreation Center will remain closed on weekends to allow for detailed cleaning and disinfecting procedures. Advance reservations are required to visit the Silverthorne Recreation Center. Summer programs and classes as well as drop-in fitness options are also being added and reformatted to comply with the latest public health orders and regulations.
Silverthorne Recreation Center staff have been working diligently to promote a safe experience for staff and guests. The Silverthorne Recreation Center recognizes the importance it plays in the mental and physical health of our community members and we look forward to welcoming our community back in a responsible and safe manner.
Before you make a reservation to visit the Silverthorne Recreation Center, carefully review the following information.
Silverthorne Recreation Center Roofing Project
Please excuse our mess as the Silverthorne Recreation Center gets a new roof. This project will span the summer of 2020 and we are currently working over the aquatics area. As work progresses, there will be impacts to our facility operations and availability. The safety of our members and staff is our number one priority as we complete this project. There will be times when sections of the roof will need to be cut out and replaced, and when this work occurs we will have to close the areas below. As we identify these areas of concern we will do our best to block out the availability in our reservation system, but there might be times we will need to reschedule or cancel workouts. We appreciate your understanding and patience as we complete this important project.
Admission to the Silverthorne Recreation Center will be limited to passholders and punch passholders when the facility reopens. No daily admissions will be sold at this time. Admission will only be available to members age 15 years and older. This age requirement is in place for the initial reopening based on the amenities that are available at this time.
All Silverthorne Recreation Center members must wear a face mask that covers the nose and mouth when entering and exiting the facility and whenever they are less than 6 feet of distance from others. Members may remove face masks during exercise only when a distance of 6 feet is maintained between them and other members.
All members will be asked to make an online reservation for their visit to the Silverthorne Recreation Center. Reservations may be made online up to 10 days in advance of your visit. Each reservation spot is 45 minutes and you may reserve two areas of the facility per person per day. Members may make up to six reservations per person per week. Detailed information on reservation areas and available equipment may be found under the drop down "Reservation Areas."
Beginning July 13, all individual reservation areas (Cardio, Circuit, Weight Room 1 and 2 and Movement Area) will be combined into one reservation. This will allow members to move freely throughout all workout areas during their reservation time. There will still be a maximum number of allowed guests in the facility at one time and we ask that members continue to practice physical distancing, room capacity limits and mask guidelines when in the Silverthorne Recreation Center. Reservations for the lap pool, deep pool and sports play areas will still be made on an individual basis.

The Silverthorne Recreation Center is reopening with a strong emphasis on safety and responsible procedures. Personal contact is being reduced wherever possible by installing sneeze guards at the front desk and encouraging electronic transactions whenever possible. Equipment is spaced throughout the facility and modified pedestrian flow encourages physical distancing.
Certain areas in the recreation center, such as the lobby, will remain closed during the initial reopening of the facility. Restrooms will be available for members, but showers and lockers will remain closed. Due to the locker room closure, please come prepared for your workout activity in the proper clothing and ready to go.
Disinfectant spray, microfiber towels and wipes will be readily available for members to wipe down equipment and touch points before and after their use.
We will not offer towel service and water fountains are closed. However, water bottle refill stations are open, so please remember to bring your own water bottle.
Current Silverthorne Recreation Center members who had an active pass or punch pass before our closure and are ready to use the facility may request their pass be reinstated by emailing email@example.com. Once requested, passes will be extended for an amount of time equal to the closure due to COVID-19 and based on the expiration date of the pass. Passholders will also be receiving an email with their online account information so they can log on, and renew their pass or make reservations to visit the facility. If you did not receive an email with your account information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to request this information for your household.
